Yes, we work with couples and families as well as individuals.
After an initial assessment where I take your information and use this to devise a customised treatment plan for you, we begin sessions once a week. I use a collaborative approach, which means that you can talk about whatever you wish, and I will also help guide you to areas that may be useful to help with, depending on what is most important on each particular day.
I am an Integrative Therapist, which means that I am qualified in a range of different therapies so that I can choose the best one(s) to suit you. These include CBT, DBT, TA, NLP, EFT, Person Centred and Clinical Hypnotherapy. I also use Mindfulness as a technique for helping with issues like anxiety.
There is no difference between the therapy you receive online and in-person. It is delivered in exactly the same way with the same professional standards and ethical requirements. For further details about online therapy/remote counselling please see the 'About Online Therapy' page.
One of the benefits of online therapy/remote counselling is that it is much easier for the counsellor/therapist to be flexible with session availability. We usually offer sessions Monday to Friday noon until 8.30pm (last appointment 7.30pm) and Saturdays 9am to noon. However, we recognise the many and varied working patterns and needs of clients needing help, and we are very willing to be flexible outside of these times where a client requires it, so please do not hesitate to ask if you need different times to those above.
The first session is free. After that we charge a standard fee of £60 per session for all types of therapy. For anyone wishing to book six sessions or more in advance we offer a discount of 10%.
You can fill in the contact form on our website or you can email direct to thetherapyhubuk@gmail.com with some basic information about what you would help with. We will then arrange an Free Initial Appointment which will be used to find out more information about you and offer you the chance to ask any questions you have. From there we will give you an idea of how we will formulate your personal treatment plan and you can decide whether you would like to proceed with sessions.
